1. Who We Are
kuizinel is a restaurant technology platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data when you use our websites, applications, and related services (the "Services"). It applies to restaurant operators, staff, and guests who interact with menus or ordering flows powered by kuizinel. "Personal data" means any information that can identify you directly or indirectly.
2. Data We Collect
We collect: (a) Account data — name, email address, phone number, and payment information provided during registration or checkout; (b) Business data — restaurant names, menus, pricing, and operating hours uploaded by operators; (c) Order data — items ordered, special instructions, timestamps, and table information; (d) Technical data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and operating system collected automatically; (e) Usage data — pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns within the platform; (f) Communications — messages sent through our support channels or feedback forms.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use personal data to: provide, operate, and improve the Services; process payments and manage subscriptions; authenticate users and prevent fraudulent or unauthorised access; generate anonymised analytics that help operators improve their menus and service; communicate service updates, security alerts, and support responses; comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities; and develop new features using aggregated, de-identified data.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on: contract performance (to provide the Services you have subscribed to), legitimate interests (to secure the platform and improve the product), compliance with legal obligations, and consent (for non-essential cookies and marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time).
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with: (a) Trusted service providers acting as data processors (e.g. cloud hosting, payment processors, email delivery) under strict data processing agreements; (b) Restaurant operators, who receive order and table data necessary to fulfil orders placed through their menus; (c) Law enforcement or regulators when required by valid legal process; (d) Successor entities in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, provided the acquiring entity honours this Policy.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the Services (e.g. session management and security tokens). With your consent, we may use analytics cookies to understand how the platform is used and performance cookies to optimise load times. You can manage cookie preferences via the cookie banner or your browser settings. Withdrawing consent for non-essential cookies will not affect the core functionality of the Services.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by applicable law. Account data is retained while your account is active and for a period of up to 3 years thereafter to comply with legal and contractual obligations. Anonymised or aggregated data may be retained indefinitely. You may request deletion of your data subject to Section 8 below.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access a copy of the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten"); restrict or object to certain processing; data portability in a structured, machine-readable format; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@kuizinel.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 30 days). We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. If you become aware of any security vulnerability or breach, please report it immediately to security@kuizinel.com. We will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by law.
10. International Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including countries that may not have data protection laws equivalent to your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the relevant authority to ensure an adequate level of protection.
11. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@kuizinel.com and we will delete that data promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this Policy regularly.
